Nhulunbuy students, Sean Yunupingu and Letral Gurruwiwi, accompany Gregg Dreise
for his rap Launch of I Saw We Saw at the Sydney Opera House last month

It was a priviledge and exciting to attend the launch of I Saw We Saw at the Opera House in Sydney as part of Indigenous Literacy day on September 4.
For over two years we, with the book's designer Lee Burgemeestre, have worked on this project of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
It has been a wonderful creative collaboration with Yolgnu students and teachers at Nhulunbuy Public school and community members, resulting in this beautiful picture book.
Nhä Nhunu Nhäŋal? the Yolugu matha version, published especially for the Yolgnu community, was launched in August at the Garma Festival.
Thirteen students, teachers and parents travelled the thousands of miles to be at the launch and enjoyed a week exploring Sydney - a very remote place for the Nhulunbuy mob!
Young Dark Emu A Truer History, by Bruce Pascoe
This highly-anticipated junior version of Bruce Pascoe’s multi award-winning book, Dark Emu, has just topped the Australian children’s/YA nonfiction best sellers list!
Using the primary accounts of early European explorers, colonists and farmers, Bruce compellingly argues for a reconsideration of the hunter-gatherer label for pre-colonial Aboriginal Australians and a truer history of Australia. stock now available.
Alison Lester is one of Australia's best-loved children's book creators.
This new younger readers hardback version at $16.99 is a beautiful new edition of this unforgettable story of courage, adventure and friendship.
Nina lives with her father above the palace stables at the Royal Academy of Dancing Horses. She loves watching the famous white stallions as they parade for the crowds, but her favourite horse is a mare called Zelda - an old cab horse Nina often pats on her way home from school. When Nina's world changes dramatically, she and her father have to flee from the city. Their journey over the mountains with Zelda and the stallions seems impossible, with danger at every turn. It will require all of Nina's bravery, daring and faith in an extraordinary old horse.

As reported by the Bookseller & Publisher - Judge and former children’s laureate Anthony Browne called Julian is a Mermaid ‘an astonishingly beautiful book’
'It’s amazing to realise this is Jessica Love’s first attempt,’ said Browne. ‘She has quickly realised how picture books work—the understated words fit so brilliantly with the stunning illustrations, never getting in the way, never trying to do the same job. It’s a perfect picture book.’
